  29. Well, I have the smaller version of tar and I cannot transfer from
  30. Unix->Amiga.  The reverse path works fine, but when I try to read the
  31. Unix (Sun 3/50) tapes on the Amiga, it doesn't even seem to recognize
  32. that there is any data on the tape.  Tapemon gives me a "blank check"
  33. error.  It seems to me that there is a lower-level (lower than tar)
  34. problem, but I don't know if there is anything I can change to fix it.
  35. The tape drive I am using on my Amiga is an old Archive drive with a
  36. SCSI translator board.  The Sun drive is an "Emulex MT-02 QIC-24 tape
  37. drive", according to the "mt -f /dev/rst0 status" command.  Any
  38. suggestions?

  40. I now have BTNtape2.1 instead of 2.0, and it doesn't allow me to read
  41. the Unix tapes, either.
