- Well, I have the smaller version of tar and I cannot transfer from
- Unix->Amiga. The reverse path works fine, but when I try to read the
- Unix (Sun 3/50) tapes on the Amiga, it doesn't even seem to recognize
- that there is any data on the tape. Tapemon gives me a "blank check"
- error. It seems to me that there is a lower-level (lower than tar)
- problem, but I don't know if there is anything I can change to fix it.
- The tape drive I am using on my Amiga is an old Archive drive with a
- SCSI translator board. The Sun drive is an "Emulex MT-02 QIC-24 tape
- drive", according to the "mt -f /dev/rst0 status" command. Any
- suggestions?
-
- I now have BTNtape2.1 instead of 2.0, and it doesn't allow me to read
- the Unix tapes, either.
