- I have a Comspec SA1000 HD controller attached to my A1000 (I'm told
- there are versions of the controller for the 500 and 2000 as well).
- I'd like to hook up a CD-ROM or tape unit to it.
-
- The problem is that Comspec's software doesn't support the scsi-direct
- command or the rigid-disk-block standard (?), so things like HDtoolbox
- don't know how to talk to the controller. And of course their supplied
- software only supports actual disk drives and doesn't know about CD-ROM
- formats.
-
- I've called Comspec, and their technical service reps have assured me
- they have operated such equipment with these controllers, but two
- letters to them asking for details have been unanswered.
-
- Does anyone know of driver software for either of these two devices
- which will work with the comspec controller? Or know how to make
- this work with the comspec software?
