- Haven't seen the expansion port spec (would be nice if someone can at
- least provide a list of signals available), I can only speculate the
- trap door port contains all the CPU signals plus a few others. Since
- the CPU runs at a synchronous speed of 14MHz, don't expect it to be
- ZorroII compatible. Extra logics has to be provided to emulate the
- 16-bit ZorroII bus at 7MHz. On the other hand, the emulation logics
- should be quite feasible and less complicated than ones in accelerator
- cards due to the synchronous nature and the lack of 68XX cycles support
- in ZorroII specs. Due to the cost reduction nature, neither this nor
- extra ZorroIII stuff are built-in. (Should be obvious - buy a 4000 for
- slots)

-
- Might even be marketable, but certain not a weekend project for the
- average hackers. (It belongs to the "If you have to ask, the answer is
- no" type of projects. Real hackers are encourage to look at accelerator
- designs such as Motorola Aplication notes, data sheets and the PD Lucas
- 020 accelerator design. Complexity is probably on the order of a few
- PALs, latches and a double sided PCB to take care of the routing the
- wires from connector to slots.)

- Add a couple of thousand dollars and you can get a A4000 look alike and
- work alike. It even come fully assembled.
