-
- I'm also using an A4000 and have a Samsung SyncMaster 3 SVGA monitor. It
- does not support the 15kHz or Super72 modes, but everything else is okay
- and I've found very little serious software that doesn't work.
-
- I get the same 676 and 640 wide screens, but my Productivity mode is wider
- than dlbNTSC. Another weird thing is that my monitor is much darker in
- the Productivity modes than in the dblNTSC and dblPAL modes. So much so
- that I would have to adjust the brightness were I too use those modes.
-
- I really don't see any disadvantage to using Productivity, but I've been
- using dblNTSC as it seems to work better for me.
-
- BTW, I have been using CPUBlit with the -b option and the scrolling text
- is much nicer. There is no breakup, even in the 256 color mode. I have
- been using a 64 color Workbench most of the time and the speed is about
- on par with the 8 color Workbench on the A3000.
-
- Also, if you don't like the border, try BBlank. It works much better than
- the old Border program and even removes the borders of screens other than
- the Workbench.
