- Hi Folks,
-
- I'm posting this representing the Computer Graphics division of the Academic
- Computing Department at Columbia College Chicago.
-
- We have a growing CG area here with around 25 amigas of various sorts (from
- aging A1000's to a spanking new A4000). We also have Macs, IBMs, and severa;
- SGI workstations -- but I'd say the Amigas see the most activity and people
- who have moved to the workstations at times express their fondness for Amy
- and a desire to return to her.
-
- I'd like to make contact with other schools and universities who use the
- Amiga -- what sort of courses do you offer, how to you handle access, what
- tips do you have for convincing administrators who at least recognize the
- name "Mac" that the Amiga is worth supporting?
-
- I posted a similar request on the Imagine mailing list and got a nice
- response -- it seems there are plently of schools out there using the Amiga,
- and most of us seem to have similar problems. Besides individual responses
- several people refered me to other schools and I'd like the hear from them
- if you're out there:
-
- Ringling School of Art and Design
- SUNY at Old Westbury
- CU Bolder
- Southern Alberta Institute of Technology
- Character Animation Department at CalArts.
-
- If you know e-mail address for any of these places, or know other schools
- using the Amiga please let me know!
-
- I'd be interested in hearing from anybody with knowledge, questions, or
- thoughts about CG teaching on the Amiga!
-
- Thanks!
