  21. We have retargetable capability NOW. CBM does NOT. We plan to provide it to ou
  22. customers very shortly. If we wait for CBM, the time frame when we can provide
  23. it is completely open. Your average AMiga user can't even get 3.0 (which is
  24. NOT retargetable) yet, much less some mythical retargetable OS. Further, there
  25. is NO assurance that CBM won't do the same thing AGAIN and make the
  26. retargetable version available only to some new higher end or different
  27. bus/hardware machine. Gadtools will NOT retarget NOW, and so it is not
  28. practical NOW.

  30. Regarding features, GadTools does not offer many types of features that we
  31. most assuredly need to even run on the Amiga display, much less on something
  32. like a DMI Resolver, or an OpalVision.

  34. Between the two, GadTools is completely impractical.

  36. You say that retargetability is a feature of Intuition - no, sorry.
  37. Retargeting is VAPORWARE right now from CBM. We're certified developers of
  38. some considerable success and high profile, members of the commercial
  39. developers program for CBM. I think we would know if there were RTG
  40. available, or soon to be available. There isn't, unless they plan to
  41. spring it as a total surprise.
