- A while ago I posted a note asking whether sprites changed in OS 3.0.
- The answer I got was "no, but overscan screens will make higher numbered
- sprites disappear".
-
- Well, this turns out not to be what is causing my problem. I can open a
- NON-overscan screen, and sprites still don't work.
-
- I'm trying to find out whether *anyone* has gotten sprites to work on a
- 4000? Here are the things I have tried:
-
- - Run a 640x400 non-overscan workbench, and try some of the
- display-hacks which use sprites, such as "oing!", "poing!", "flying
- clock", etc. No sprites appear.
-
- - Boot in 640x200 non-overscan with ECS instead of AGA. Run games
- which use sprites. No sprites appear.
-
- - Boot self-booting games which use sprites. No sprites appear.
-
- In short, I have not seen _any_ way to get sprites to work. Overscan
- doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.
-
- Has anyone else gotten sprites to work at all on a 4000? If so, how?
