- I recently inherited an Epson GT-4000 full color scanner. Unfortunately,
- it did not have any manuals with it. Can anyone help me find out about
- the beast?
-
- I called ASDG about getting driver software, but they could not
- guarantee that it would work. Apparently, the GT-4000 was sold only in
- Europe (so how did it get to the US?) and is the model before the
- current European GT-6000 and GT-8000 scanners. Without knowing whether
- it would work or not, I am apprehensive about spending so much money to
- get the driver (it lists for ~US$200).
-
- So, I'm turning to the net. Has anyone successfully hooked this model
- to the Amiga? What driver software did you use? Any leads on where
- I could get a copy of the manual(s)?
-
- If manuals are not available could someone that owns a current model
- (I don't remember the model number in the US), please send me
- information about the DIP settings? I am hoping that they are the
- same as the current models, since the scanner looks about the same,
- with the DIP switches under a panel on the left/front of the scanner.
-
- E-mail responses preferred.
