- The good news is that you can indeed view these pictures. The bad news is
- that you need the right software to convert them.
-
- To start you must remove all the header and footer garbage from the files,
- there are usually messages like "cut all above here", indicating what text
- needs to be removed.
-
- Once all the garbage has been removed you must join all the files together.
- If you're using a UNIX box just use cat,
-
- cat filename1 filename2 filename3 >filename4 <-where filename is the name
- of the files.
-
- Next you must covert the files from ASCII to BINARY. To do this under UNIX,
- use uudecode,
-
- uudecode filename
-
- If an error occurs it is most likely that you have left some garbage text in
- one of the files so go back and check, remove it and join the files again.
-
- Your system must have a uudecoder or you wont be able to use the file. If you
- system doesn't there are versions available for the amiga, from various ftp
- sites.
-
- Finally just download the files from your system to MSDOS, using your systems
- transfer utility, ie kermit, ftp etc.
