- Shuk C Yip,
-
- Those are all good questions.
-
- Imagemaster now has a nice box, has for a couple of months. It's a full
- four color box with an example morph, effects images, features, etc. We
- *really* didn't want to do it, because in the end it's nothing but a waste
- of paper to the end-user, but dealer pressure forced us into it. When I
- say it's a waste of paper to the end-user, I am saying that the lack of
- a box adds or detracts not one bit from the performance of the product.
- In any case, there is a box now. Any dealer that has non-boxed stock can
- call us at 800 852 6442 and get a box for the packages they have in stock.
-
- As far as a comparison chart goes, our previous thinking was that it was
- difficult, even impossible, to produce a comparison chart that was both
- fair and adequately described the differences between Imagemaster and
- other competing products. Heck, it was difficult enough to do just the
- morphing!
-
- Finally, advertising. We're not at all conviced that advertising makes
- all that much difference in sales in the Amiga market. The one place it does
- seem to make a difference is the one place the magazines won't admit to;
- in the treatment, by the magazine, of the products which advertise.
- Currently, our sales are extremely good - so much so that we we feel
- no need to advertise. If a serious competitor (really serious, not just
- "marketing" serious, which is the situation now) to Imagemaster arrives
- on the market, we may begin advertising. We've not seen GVP's new package
- yet, and the only other package we're aware of is the AdPro2/Morph+ combo.
- Perhaps GVP will liven things up a bit.
