- Spoilers for the ending of Turrican II.

- OK, well, the next thing you see is a lovely 64-color EHB picture of
- the very top of an alien structure protruding from a crack in the ground
- (which is, incidentally, in the middle of a burnt and ruined, but beautifully
- landscaped, wasteland.) As explosions start to go off all around the structure,
- Our Hero zooms out of it, towards, and past the camera. The structure blows
- up finally and the credits roll, informing you that The Machine is defeated
- and peace has finally returned to what's left of the civilization on this
- planet. (I believe that brings to 3 the number of contradictory background
- stories for TII, but who cares? It's Turrican, after all...) "Our Hero
- switches on his antigravity jet pack [why didn't he ever use it inside
- the alien complex where it might have come in handy?!] and heads for the
- stars." Then the actual credits begin, film style -- giving the authors'
- names as Producer, Director, et cetera. This goes on for quite a while.
- Eventually it ends, they advise you to watch for Super Turrican on the
- Super NES, and that's it -- next thing you see is the high score board.
-
- Not bad. I liked TI's ending better, I think, though I can barely
- remember it.
-
- And in that spirit, has anyone succeeded in getting Turrican I to run
- on an A3000? If so I'm buying back the copy I sold... TII is great, but
- TI was just a classic. I'd give anything to play it again.
-
- "But Dr. Radium, was that necessary?" "Rez, _everything_ I do is necessary."
