  15. | partition  on  my  hard drive to go bad?  I am using an A590
  16. | with a 105meg Connor hard drive.  I had the last 20 meg par-
  17. | tition set up as a mac partition.  It ran fine, but was gra-
  18. | dually showing more errors every time I ran  AMax.   Finally
  19. | the whole partition was bad.  I have tried doing a low level
  20. | format of the entire drive,  and  everything  else  I  could
  21. | think of, but the top 20 megs of my drive appears to be use-
  22. | less.  Any ideas as to what caused this,  and  what  can  be
  23. | done to prevent it from happening again?

  26. You might want to check for virus.  Get the virus checkers from
  27. sumex-aim.stanford.edu.
