- I've been using VLTjr for a few weeks and it's great! Willy is a god.
- The capability to use scripts is phenomenal. Enough palpitating! ;)
-
- I have the latest version from the stanford accelerator site, and
- the printed manual. (Great mail turnaround time, too!) I have the
- xpr modules from there as well, so hopefully I have everything
- one would think I should have.
-
- My problem- the Ymodem protocol doesn't seem to work. I have BaudBandit,
- the commercial telcomm program, that can connect to my Sun 4 host just
- fine, and I can transfer files from the unix with a:
-
- xmodem sbyk <filelist or pattern>
-
- and BaudBandit handles it fine. (BTW, sbyk= send binary ymodem 1K blocks)
- VLTjr will get the first file name of the list, transfer about 9 1K
- blocks of it _with no errors_, then crash out. Anyone heard of this?
- It's not near the end of the file, or anything like that, and I've tried
- several files and file types.
-
- I can also use VLTjr with the xmodem xpr module and no problems. So,
- I don't think it's just something simple and stupid like parity or stop
- bits. There's something special about the way the unix ymodem talks to
- VLTjr. Has anyone had this problem? If not, I'll log some of the transfers
- and post the log files.
-
- Thanks for the help, I hope.
