- Portal doesn't have anonymous FTP and isn't going to have anonymous
- FTP since Portal is not an FTP site. It's a commercial service. However
- our Amiga Zone SIG on Portal (which I run) has a vast collection of
- files, now approaching an actual 1 GIGabyte of Amiga files online including
- all 750 current Fish Disks, and we never delete files just cuz
- they're "old". Generally we only delete files based on newer versions
- showing up, thus there's no real good reason to keep 20 old versions
- of LhA or Term sitting on the drives, but we usually keep one or two
- versions back in case the newest version proves to be problematic
- for people.
-
- If your current site has telnet or rlogin capabilities, you can use
- one of those programs to connect to Portal and reach the amiga
- Zone and download files, for $0.00 per hour, 24 hours a day, and pay
- only a small monthly subsciption fee. I'll gladly send you or
- anyone else a long informative Portal propaganda file with all
- the details if you email me and request it. By the way, SteveX Tibbett has
- just released a new "PortalX" automated front end that works over Internet.
