- Hi all, I need some help here, I'm planning on getting a MIDI interface
- for my 2000 for Christmas and I have a Yamaha PSR-36 keyboard with MIDI in
- and out, no thru. What I'd like to know is if anyone could suggest some
- places to order from in either Canada or the US. If possible mention some
- brand names to consider and qualities to look for in an ideal interface,
- please bear in mind I probably won't know much about what you send so make
- it pretty simple..heh.. What I do know is that I don't want to spend over
- 75 bucks on it... there is a place in town that sells them but they are
- asking 96 bucks and as far as I know that includes just the interface and
- I think thats a touch high. If possible please include such things as
- what programs to use with it, I do have Sonix and Deluxe Music but I hear
- they aren't all that good with it. I'd like any kind of information I can
- get so any help is welcome.. I basically know nothing about MIDI but I
- have heard enough to know that I'd like one..as I'm trying to expand the
- capabilities of a mediocre keyboard. I figure seeing as it has MIDI
- capability and I have my 2000 I miles well hook them up together and see
- what happens. I've always wanted to start writing music..just hate the
- long process of sitting at the keyboard/piano and plunking out what comes
- up..any sort of help like this would be great..
-
- Please respond through E-Mail..
- Thanks so much,
- Ken
