- I have just received my Wordworth 2, but unfortunately
- cannot try it out (A3000 still waiting to be looked at
- after 2.5 weeks - thanks to the Commodore Service Centre
- at Wang).
-
- However flicking throught the manual....

- Printer Fonts:
- There are pages and pages of named printers and their internal

- For example it lists HP DeskJet500 (actually 17 HP printers in
- all), 20 NEC printers including P7 and P2200, Canon BJ10ex in
- Canon mode and EpsonQ mode.
-
- Other tidbits:
- Postscript is supported and you can have EPS (encapsulated
- post script) images. Pictures: you can have hot links, cool
- links and no links.
- Page preview can be in Facing pages, Several or Thumbnail.
- You can insert Bookmarks to jump to a place in a long
- document.
- There is a screensaver, there's speech. There is some mention
- of tracking and kerning.

- The manual seems to be clear and well written, and covers
- a great deal. It is 350 pages. You have to install the program
- from 6 floppies. It has Collins English dictionary and thesaurus
- with hyphenation. You need at least 1.5M ram, and a 2nd drive of
- some sort. Works with WB 1.3, 2 and 3.
-
-
- All this is from reading the manual. I have not actually run
- the program so I don't know how fast it is for example. I am
- sure speed would be acceptable on an A4000 or an A1200 (or
- even an A3000). I know v1.1 was often slow on an unaccelerated
- A2000 with a 50 page document. Also I have not (obviously) tried
- the print quality, but I am given to understand it would use the
- maximum resolution of the printer.
-
- Side note:
- I rang Digita yesterday as I had not yet received it. Apparently
- they were literally inundated with orders for the new version, on
- special offer at #59 pounds. They were working round the clock
- packing and sending off orders and there is a week or more back
- log. Quite remarkable in these recession hit times.
