- Maple V currently runs on Amigas under 2.04 with 2 megs ram. A math coprocessor
- is NOT needed.

- Release 2 of Maple V has been announced for Suns and Decs (ultrix). A windows
- version will probably be announced by the end of '92. Versions for Macs and
- Nexts will probably be made at the end of the 1st quarter of '93. My guess
- is that a port to the Amiga will not surface until at least the summer of
- '93.

- We have been using Maple in our Amiga Classroom to teach mathematics for
- nearly three years and, in particular, Maple V for nearly two.
-
- We have been quite satisfied with its interface. The Amiga port actually
- offers three ways of running Maple V, and one of my colleagues even uses
- an emacs wrapper when he runs Maple V. It's quite flexible.
-
- I do not use Mathematica nor Macsyma, so I cannot comment here except to
- simply add that dealing with the Maple people at Waterloo for the last 3
- years has been a pleasure. They are more than willing to listen and react
- to our comments, suggestions, complaints, etc.
