- We're running UniTree on an Alliant and under heavy load (dumping
- 180MB worth of files into it), the system hangs. It doesn't panic, but
- performance becomes so slow that a reboot is required.
-
- As it `dies', it spews a lot of messages to /usr/adm/messages:
-
- Nov 12 13:01:02 boa vmunix: ce00> rexpand: forced rnode purge from dnlc
- Nov 12 13:01:03 boa last message repeated 3 times
- Nov 12 13:01:03 boa vmunix: ce00> rexpand: no rnodes purged from dnlc
- Nov 12 13:03:32 boa vmunix: ce00> rexpand: no rnodes purged from dnlc
- Nov 12 13:05:36 boa last message repeated 47439 times
-
- Does anyone have an idea what it is complaining about, or how to
- avoid/fix it? I don't have any idea what rexpand does or what an rnode
- or dnlc is.
-
- Thanks in advance.
