- When looking through my 3B1's Telephone Manager User's Guide,
- I noticed that the active RS232 pins seem to include
-
- Transmit clock (15)
- Receive clock (17)
- Clock out (24)
-
- as well as the usual pins 1-8 and 20.
-
- This leads me to wonder if there's some way of connecting the 3B1
- and Worldblazer in syncronous mode, but otherwise using it the same
- as now. (I'm not actually sure the device driver SUPPORTS syncronous
- mode, nor how to use it) (The 3B1, for those unfamilar with it,
- runs a varient of System V.2)
-
- I have not looked at this in detail, and am not sure I'm going
- to have the time to.
-
- 1. Can you use the 3B1's RS232 in syncronous mode?
- 2. Are there any significant advantages in doing so?
- 3. How would you go about it?
