  10. I'm having a strange problem with a PC7300 at home.  It won't
  11. boot from the hard drive, so I've gone through the diagnostic
  12. tests and found that it can't recal the hard drive.  I tried
  13. another known good hard drive and got the same response.  I
  14. tested the controller chip and found it to be okay.  In fact,
  15. the only thing I can find wrong with the system is that the
  16. -12 volt line on the power supply reads about -11 volts with
  17. no load (I don't know if it drops under load).

  19. Has anybody seen this happen before?  Could all this be caused
  20. by the -12 volt line on the power supply being low?  Any leads
  21. would be greatly appreciated -- I'm about to pull my hair out!
