- I'm having a strange problem with a PC7300 at home. It won't
- boot from the hard drive, so I've gone through the diagnostic
- tests and found that it can't recal the hard drive. I tried
- another known good hard drive and got the same response. I
- tested the controller chip and found it to be okay. In fact,
- the only thing I can find wrong with the system is that the
- -12 volt line on the power supply reads about -11 volts with
- no load (I don't know if it drops under load).
-
- Has anybody seen this happen before? Could all this be caused
- by the -12 volt line on the power supply being low? Any leads
- would be greatly appreciated -- I'm about to pull my hair out!
