- Hello Khoros Users:
-
- I had posted a problem which I am having with cantata some time back
- and I did not hear about it so I am posting it again ...
-
- I am running KHOROS on Sun4 (SparcStations/Servers) with SunOS 4.1.2
- and Openwindows 3.0. The KHOROS code was compiled with bundled cc with
- dynamic linking (if that if of any relevence).
-
- I have noticed that when I run the KHOROS programs via cantata (using
- the visual interface), after the individual glyph (ie its corresponding KHOROS
- program) has finished execution, my process table entries still include its
- entry though now as <defunct> process. Actually entry is not cleared completely
- till cantata quits !!! This means that slowly and steadily the process table
- on the system gets full and finally the system can not fork any more processes !!!
- (I can not do even pstat :-). I would like to know if any one has had similar
- problems on Sun4s and has any solutions to it ...
-
- thanks
-
- vinayak.
