- As a lot of people, I continue my quest for a simple way to PC-printing...
-
- Our last idea was so simple that I dont understand why it doesnt works:
-
- Ftp your.pc.name
- put the_file LPT1
- quit
-
- I have tried it in PCs running FTPSRV and QvtNet. The first, from pc-tcp,
- rejects to open it (bad file number, it says). But QvtNet is a better guy,
- it tries to open and windows 3.x show the System Error message:
- "I can not open device LPT1"
-
- The question here is, why cannt it open the device? Is it already opened
- by QvtNet? QvtNet sucessfully uses LPT1 to make "underground
- printing" from telnet sessions, so it is not a authorization problem.
-
- Any suggestion? Coun Win3.x or Qvtnet be modified to let us open LPT1?
