- I work at one of the research schools of ANU. We have 5 multigates and 18
- localtalk nets with about 500 nodes of one kind or another (IBMs, macs,
- laserwriters etc) we run cap on several unix boxes and have print
- spooling, mailing and all the usual junk (IBMs are a pain :-().
-
- The problem is that the multigates are hard to interrogate. I use mgstats
- which sometime work and mgcmd which works for some bits. I want to
- reconfigure the multigates on the fly but it seems theses boxes have to
- be halted for this, so no joy here. (I have to lug my portable all over
- the place). Is this true?
-
- I can live with this, but what I dearly want is a way to get the error
- stats for individual localtalk nets. Presently I use peek (By the way it
- dosnt work on my powerbook 170 - any ieas out there?) So I was wondering
- if the multiagtes can send the CRC, overrun and timeout errors to the
- debug host?
-
- Does tom still hang out here or is there a better place to mail to?
-
- thx in advance doug
