  13. I work at one of the research schools of ANU. We have 5 multigates and 18
  14. localtalk nets with about 500 nodes of one kind or another (IBMs, macs,
  15. laserwriters etc) we run cap on several unix boxes and have print
  16. spooling, mailing and all the usual junk (IBMs are a pain :-().

  18. The problem is that the multigates are hard to interrogate. I use mgstats
  19. which sometime work and mgcmd which works for some bits. I want to
  20. reconfigure the multigates on the fly but it seems theses boxes have to
  21. be halted for this, so no joy here. (I have to lug my portable all over
  22. the place). Is this true?

  24. I can live with this, but what I dearly want is a way to get the error
  25. stats for individual localtalk nets. Presently I use peek (By the way it
  26. dosnt work on my powerbook 170 - any ieas out there?) So I was wondering
  27. if the multiagtes can send the CRC, overrun and timeout errors to the
  28. debug host?
