- Subject: Help CAP60 on SUN

- Hi,
- I have a network of macs and sparc running straight/native BNC
- ethernet. I know that the network is fine ( I can ping both ways and
- telnet from the macs to the sun). I have tried to install CAP60 on the
- SUN to do uafs so we can share the large disk attached to the sun. I
- have not been very succesful at setting it up. Note: no gateways or
- bridges between macs and sun. I tried compiling and installing the CAP60
- with option UAB and native ETHERTALK without any success. All daemons
- are running on the sun with no problem, except that the ddp number is
- always 0.00 when I run the test programs. However there is a node
- number of 74, which I am not sure how the sun gets it. I would
- appreciate any help in deciding whether I should use UAB or ethertalk
- native set up and what should I do on the mac side. The macs are running
- system 7, and the sun is running Sun OS 4.1.2. I also should mention
- that this is an isolated network. Thanks in advance for the help.
