- I have an Archive ST525 SCSI tape drive. I recently had a problem with
- the drive that locked up my SCO Unix system.
-
- I did a "tape status" which never returned anything although immediately
- after issuing the command the tape drive LED started flashing a 223 code
- (ie: FLASH FLASH - PAUSE - FLASH FLASH - PAUSE - FLASH FLASH FLASH - LONG
- PAUSE). I was unable to read or write to anything on the SCSI bus after
- this happened and had to reboot the system.
-
- I called Archive technical support who told me they had no idea what the
- error code being shown meant. I would have to think it meant something
- that could help determine the problem.
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
