  11. I have an Archive ST525 SCSI tape drive.  I recently had a problem with 
  12. the drive that locked up my SCO Unix system.
  13.  
  14. I did a "tape status" which never returned anything although immediately 
  15. after issuing the command the tape drive LED started flashing a 223 code
  16. (ie: FLASH FLASH - PAUSE - FLASH FLASH - PAUSE - FLASH FLASH FLASH - LONG
  17. PAUSE).  I was unable to read or write to anything on the SCSI bus after
  18. this happened and had to reboot the system.

  20. I called Archive technical support who told me they had no idea what the
  21. error code being shown meant.  I would have to think it meant something 
  22. that could help determine the problem.
