- If I use an Adaptec 1542B on an ISA machine with > 16 megs and running
- DOS/Windows, how does the ASPI driver allow the board to do bus
- mastering to addresses above the 16 meg line? Will ASPI automatically
- detect the fact that the system is > 16 megs at startup and then
- double-buffer everything, even for addresses below the 16 meg line?
-
- I'm particularly concerned about using the Adaptec in a DOS virtual
- machine under Windows, since on a machine like the one I describe there
- is a good chance that all of the virtual addresses will translate to
- real addresses above the 16 meg line.
-
- Thanks,
