- To tell whether your cartridge is out of ink, push the clean button. The
- printer will clean the cartridge (takes 30 seconds or so), then print a series
- of color bars and a stairstep nozzle pattern. Looking at the printout one can
- determine whether the cartridge is low on ink of a particular color.
