- I think a low tech solution is probably what most sites will adopt.
- Going thru the release notes of Alpha VMS, I came accross the HELP/MESSAGE
- utility. One could use this utility to expand the error message one gets when
- a VAX/VMS image is activated in an Alpha/VMS system, to inform the user that
- what (s)he is trying to run, can only be run on a VAX/VMS system.
- One could also suggest that if the user has the source, then the program can
- be recompiled/linked and then run on Alpha.
- Let's give the users some credit here. They will soon learn how to separate
- the two.
