- It is possible for a VAX/VMS program and an Alpha/VMS program (I know, I know)
- to operate on the same data at the same time in the same cluster, just as it
- is possible for two VAX/VMS programs to interoperate. In fact, it is possible
- for a VAX/VMS program, a UNIX program, and a PC program to interoperate at the
- same time using NFS and PATHWORKS.
-
- I would think that the image activator could be modified to issue an error
- message which said "This is a VAX/VMS program" or "This is an Alpha/VMS
- program". VMS would have to be modified to have directories for Alpha and
- VAX executables. Command procedures, data, and source could go in common
- directories.
