- Provided that the hardware is jumpered for the proper addresses (CSR and
- vector) it should work automatically. There's no configuration needed in
- VMS (beyond the SYSGEN AUTOCONFIGURE ALL that's done for you by the DEC part
- of the system startup) to recognize the card.

- There's a green LED on the card. This should be on. If it's not on, your
- card thinks it's broken. Also, the light should blink off and back on briefly
- when the board is initialized by VMS.

- Are you sure you're using the right cables to connect to the pigtails? Do
- you have a breakout box you could use to see if there's any signal at all on
- the leads?

- Perhaps you have the ports set to /DIALUP and /MODEM and you're trying to
- use a local terminal? Also, the baud rate may be set to a different speed
- than your terminal is expecting. You could also have the port set to /SECURE
- or /NOINTERACTIVE, but those are non-default options so you probably don't
- have them set.
