- This message is a reply to those of you out on the net that helped me locate
- a "C" source line counter (a program that distinguishes comments/blanks from
- actual lines of code). I would like to thank the following for giving me
- quick responses of one sort or another :
-
- patbob@sequent.com
- carl@SOL1.GPS.CALTECH.EDU
- bhoule@npg-sd.sandiegoca.NCR.COM

- I would like to especially thank (John Green) jgreen@csugrad.cs.vt.edu
- for informing me where I could find such a beast on many FTP sites...
- Thanks to him, I was able to locate the source for kdsl in the directory
- /usenet/comp.sources.unix/volume20/metrics on wuarchive.wustl.edu.
- Anyway, here is a transcript of his message :

- Try comp.sources.unix volume20, look under directory 'metrics' This package
- includes kdsi (a C lines of code counter) and some other software metrics.
- For archive sites, look at ftp.uu.net or wuarchive.wustl.edu.

- I would also like to thank Bill Mitchell (mitchell@mdd.comm.mot.com) for also
- sending me the source for a comments extractor routine that Kent Landfield
- apparently put together a few years ago... If there is interest in that
- routine, I'll e-mail it to anyone...
