- I don't know if there is a solution for my problem, but I figure I'd
- throw it to the net before I try tech support (or reading the
- [under-documented] manuals).
-
- To get my mail & news I am currently running Waffle v1.65 in a DOS
- window under OS/2. I'd love to switch to UUPC/extended along with Elm
- and a threaded news reader such as SNews/2 (or preferably is there a
- port of NN?), however I have to wait for my newsfeed to change their
- dialout to be 7E1.
-
- That not withstanding, a threaded news/mail reader is out now for Waffle
- called HellDiver. It is, however, a windows application, which runs
- fine under WinOS2, excepting one minor nit. In order to reply to mail
- or news, or post, it needs to spawn a DOS application to feed the
- message to RMAIL/RNEWS for batching. In a straight installation of
- OS/2, this type of operation isn't supported (or so says WinOS2). Is
- there any hope of finding a workaround, or even just a settings change?
-
- I'd prefer EMail responses, as I don't know how well my news is comming
- through currently for this group, however, if you feel it is important
- enough an answer to post, feel free. I didn't see anything off hand in
- the FAQ, btw, directly answering to this particular question.
