- There is no fire. The content of the original message is such that
- a proliferation of odd and assorted speculation that would run
- amuck, as things tend to do on the NET, was very likely.

- What the message did start with was something to the effect of
- "Announcing the release of Borland C++ for OS/2". The diatribe that
- followed was full of the right marketing buzzwords and organized as
- such that at a quick glance looked like a marketing posting that
- was for real.

- Instead of calling people at Borland into question for attempting
- to set things straight, just ignore it and let it pass. I applaud
- Sidney and Dave for trying to set things straight after someone
- posted something that may not be so.
