  17. Sorry, folks, but BC++ for OS/2 has not been released. I don't know
  18. where that announcement came from. It certainly is written in an
  19. official style, and it is no secret that BC++ for OS/2 is in beta test
  20. and that we have an Early Experience Program to make beta copies
  21. available for a fee to some people who did not make it into the free
  22. beta program before it filled up, but whether or not the text of that
  23. posting was originally written by anyone at Borland, it is not a
  24. Borland product release announcement. I will not vouch for the
  25. accuracy of any detail in that message, and I am not prepared to
  26. answer questions about them.

  28. A copy of the announcement has been sent to the people who do make
  29. official statments at Borland, and any response should come from them.
  30. Because this posting has been quoted so widely so quickly, I just
  31. wanted to start the counter-rumor going as soon as I saw it.
