- What?!?! Since when was Windows 3.1 compatibility in the
- specification for OS/2 2.0? It is being tested as an add-on for a
- future release. You're telling me that an OS is useless unless it has
- features that it wasn't meant to have!

- Why does this make OS/2 "not ready". It works. I'm sorry if you have
- hardware that isn't supported, but this is to be expected with a new
- product. There are so many video boards out there that one vendor
- cannot possibly support them all directly.
-
- >It should be able to switch modes without rebooting the computer.
-
- Why? I don't think I've ever had a need to regularly change the
- desktop resolution. As for applications, full-screen apps have been
- able to run in any mode they want without error. I've never seen a
- system that can switch it's desktop screen resolution without a
- restart.

-
- You should be testing things like DOS box stability and memory usage
- and not-crashing. The existence of drivers and support for Win 3.1
- (which isn't supposed to be there yet anyway) is not a fair benchmark
- and you know it.
