  28. Has been rumours about this for a long time. There are a few drawbacks
  29. to this though.

  31. Though the Mach kernel is a nice peace of software, it is not very
  32. efficient. It was not created to be. And to have a OS based on the Mach
  33. kernel, you either need to rewrite it a lot (like NeXT), or you will
  34. need lots of processing power (when you want to run OS/2, DOS, Windwos
  35. and Unix on top of Mach).

  37. When this version of OS/2 comes out - be ready to buy the latest in
  38. processor, RAM, and HD. Probably 486 and better, lots of RAM (16 as a
  39. minimum ans so on).

  41. What would have happended to OS/2 if it had such hardware demands now?
