- A friend of mine has been experiencing problems with Windows
- 3.1 and his HP DeskJet 500 which he's just bought. He
- installed the win3.1 driver (hpdskjet.drv), from Control
- Panel: Printers, and set all the options properly.
- True-Type is enabled, and from inside Word for Windows 2.0
- he selected File...Printer Setup...Ok. However, when he
- tries to print anything, the *left* margin comes out
- completely ragged. Everyhing else is okay - fonts,
- resolution, point-sizes etc. Its just the left margin which
- is all over the place. This problem occurs with all apps,
- including Write, Notepad and Paintbrush. I suspect its his printer
- which is faulty (the ink-head not being free to move all the
- way back to its leftmost resting position or some such
- thing), but has anyone else experienced anything similar?
-
- Thanx,
-
- Darren.
