- In connection with Com ports, a friend with no access to this system asked me
-
- Trying to run windows 3.1 with mouse on COM 1, IO card having COM2 also on it, and the
- modem set to com3 (as windows refuses to see anything on com4).
-
- However both COM1 (mouse) Com3 (modem) share the same IRQ (13?) so when you use the
- modem it locks up the mouse - andat the same time messes up the operation of the
- modem!
-
- What he would like to know is, will the COM EXTENSION KIT for WINDOWS solve this
- problem, or is there another way around this.
-
- Thankyou,
-
- Graeme
