- We have just bought a local bus 50 MHZ i486DX computer that we are using as graphics
- and computational modeling workstation in our lab. In the next room, we have an array
- of SUN workstations which run Open Windows. Our question is what software is avaliable
- for running some of our X-Windows applications (Like Framemaker and Matlab v.4.0) as a
- windowed application on the 486-50 PC? We already have an ethernet card, but it is used
- mainly for file transfers and remote telnet logons (we don't use Netware for example).
-
- I think I remeber seeing ads from a company (Spectrographics?) that made a product
- called PC-Xview. Is this correct or an hallucination? Does anyone know of ANY product that
- will let us run our X-Windows apps under MS Windows as a Windows app?
