  17. I don't know the cause yet, but I've seen it on several systems!  You can
  18. actually see the data being written to the floppy, obviously they are 
  19. mistakenly using the video buffer for their floppy I/O.  You'll also notice
  20. that if you don't touch anything, you'll get a good transfer, but if you
  21. refresh that area by moving the mouse or opening a window, you'll trash
  22. the floppy data that is being transferred.  If you ever figure out what
  23. causes it, I'd like to know. :-)
