- I have found a dangerous problem in QW 1.0. That is overwriting existing
- entries in the register without knowing it. I have mistakenly overwritten
- an existing entry by not realizing which line I was on when I chose
- "USE" from the memorized transactions list. This led me to believe I had
- almost $800 more in my checking account than I did. This has happened a
- few times. Fortunately, I caught the problem before I bounced checks. It
- seems to have occurred more often when I use CheckFree electronic payment
- for some reason or other. I'll admit it is my fault for not making sure
- I'm on the first open register entry, but it seems there should be some
- protection against this type of error.
- Is there any way to protect against this happening or is there any more
- protection built into version 2.0 against this sort of thing?
-
- Any suggestions would be appreciated. E-mail if possible since I can't
- seem to keep up with the traffic on this newsgroup. I'll post a summary.
