- Yep - MS is pricing full Access at $99 US for the first few
- months. This has become pretty common-place in the biz; Borland
- prived ObjectVision for about $100 for its first 6 months
- and then never really raised it. the 'limited time special'
- makes users buy fast to get the cheap price.
-
- In this case (MS Access), it's low to get you to buy NOW
- rather than wait; and to get you to buy Access in place of
- Paradox. When January comes, I'd bet they will find the
- suggested retail is $149, not $496 or $695. Now, if they
- are smart, they'll have 'Access PRO' for $295...
-
- Egghead in Cupertino has Access in stock and is selling
- it for $93US.
