  11. A program called "NAIL" (not sure of the full name) will allow you to
  12. "nail" a window to the top of the stack, so that no windows can pop over
  13. it, even if you transfer focus to an underlying window.  This is not
  14. exactly what you want, but it will let you type into a window which is
  15. underneath a "nailed" window.
