  16. I just upgraded from qvtnet 2.85 to 3.03, and have run across
  17. a truly strange new problem. When I start a telnet session to 
  18. our VAX 785, my logon script executes perfectly, and
  19. I am logged on just fine (same script I successfully used with QVTNET 2.85).
  20. This machine runs Wollongong (sp?) tcp/ip software. Now the strange part: 
  21. When I start a telnet session to our microvax or VAX 6520 (which use 
  22. DEC UCX tcp/ip software), USING THE EXACT SAME LOGON SCRIPT, I get 
  23. "USER AUTHORIZATION FAILURE." I can see that my username
  24. is being entered properly, but apparently something goes awry with
  25. my password. We looked at my packets with a Lanalyzer, and we see
  26. exactly what we should see: my password, followed by CTL-M (carriage
  27. return). I did not have this problem with 2.85.

  29. Any ideas? I have tried putting WAIT statements all through the
  30. script to slow it down, but nothing works. By the way, the three
  31. machines (785, 6520 and microvax) all use the same username and
  32. password.
