- Subject: Good graphing with error bars?

- I've been looking around for a program that can make nice looking graphs (publi
- cation quality) with error bars (standard error of the mean). Believ it or not,
- this is not easy to find. I purchased CA-Cricket Graph for Windows a few month
- s back. To those who are considering purchasing this product...DON'T! It's poor
- ly written, slow, and buggy. I found at least 3 MAJOR bugs the first time I use
- d it and called tech support. They pretty much told me I was out of luck...grea
- t software company. Anyway, I've looked at some spreadsheets (Excel 3.0 and Qua
- ttro Pro for WIndows) but neither of these plot error bars. Does Excel 4.0 plot
- error bars? I heard of a program called Origin by a company called Microcal (m
- aybe) a little while back. I remember reading that version 1.0 was very slow an
- d very buggy. Is there a new version and if so, is it any good? If anybody know
- s of a good graphing program (or spreadsheet with error bar capabilities) pleas
- e let me know. I'd also like to know about pricing and places to buy it, etc. T
- hanks. Please E-mail
