GR> This is perfectly normal. In your example you are
GR> missing 480k. You are
GR> also creating high RAM to the tune of ~384k. QEMM
GR> also has some overhead of
GR> its own that comes out of extended memory. If you
GR> want a precise breakdown
GR> of what memory is going where, check out MFT's QEMM/Memory section.
Well, I checked it out. My MFT listed handles 0-5...
0 576k ????? (No owner)
1 64k HMA
2 96k EMS1 (My Ramdrive)
3 720k EMS2 (Disk Cache)
4 96k 4DOS:000 (Primary 4dos shell)
5 32k 4DOS:001 (Secondary 4dos shell)
This adds up to about 1500k! I tried using PC mag's EMS40.SYS, and got all my missing ram, but DV wouldn't load when it was running, so I gave up. It's really less of a problem now, My disk cache is taking up enough I can go back to himem.sys and emm386.exe w/ NORAM parameter.
