  13. I would be interested in hearing from anyone with experience
  14. (or inexperience) with running Windows 3.1 remotely with
  15. DV/X.

  17. My display would be on a DECstation 5000 running X at
  18. 1280x1024x256.  The PC would be a 33MHz 386 w/ 8MB RAM, ethernet
  19. card and TCP/IP.

  21. What is the procedure to get windows running
  22. on the PC to display on the workstation?

  24. Once one gets it up are the resources of the workstation available
  25. to windows, (ie the full screen and color resolution).

  27. In a setup like this how is performance?  The two main applications
  28. right now would be MathCAD 3.1, and WordPerfect for Windows.

  30. What are the main performance variables?  Speed of the ethernet
  31. card, speed or memory on the PC etc.?
