- doesn't matter what type of connection....just as long as you have
- a WD chip card. There are three SMC cards you can consider.
- The Elite 16T and Elite Combo ($255 last time I checked) both have
- the UTP RJ-45 eight pin socket.
- I have a simple Elite 16 with a Cabletron FOT2 to convert from the AUI
- thick ethernet to fiber-optic. There are four fiber optic faceplates in
- each dorm room. So I guess would could each have two computers on the net :)
- The SMC cards are great cause you can set their configurations with software
- (mind you, under MS-Dog). Put it's great if you have any potential
- conflicts.
