- Many thanks to the people who wrote the SLS it was (relatively)
- painless to install Linux yesterday, I even got X running (in mono).
-
- Ok on to the questions:
- I have been told that I can not run X in color on my
- Diamond Stealth, but I was looking through the manual and saw
- all you had to do was set a mode on the card and it emulated the
- 1024X720 256 color Veisa standard, so are there drivers that take
- advantage of this or is X stubborn.
-
- Where can I find drivers for my CD-ROM, it is a SCSI but
- not standard, I believe. It is the one from the Sound-balster pro
- upgrade.
-
- Also are there drivers for the sound balster/sbpro for linux
-
- I saw the man pages for the dos emulator that SLS installed
- but I could not get it to work :-( Does it work or was the one
- installed with the SLS broken?
-
- Fianlly my mail is dead, I tried mailing myself but it said
- segmentation fault when I ran mail or smail, elm ran but no mail was
- actually sent as far as I can tell.
-
-
- My system is a 486/50 with an award bios (zeos box)
- The cd rom is the phillips one I believe and it is
- the creative labs board driving it
- I have 8 megs memory and am running .98.5 off the SLS
-
-
- Any help would be much appreciated.
