- I recently bought a used Seagate ST02 SCSI Host (Bios Revision 3.2).
- During POST it first prints out something like "Seagate ST02 bios 3.2"
- , and then the cryptic message "SCSI Adaptor Failure" comes up.
-
- Does this indicate a hardware failure, or does it simply indicate that i have
- no disks on the host(i have none, i just wanted to test the host).
-
- Yes, i used IRQ 5 under Linux and the default under DOS, and i disabled the
- cache under appropriate areas. The driver init under Linux don't give me any
- errors.
-
- I tried hooking up the diskette drive under the host, but to no avail, either
- under Linux or DOS.
-
- I called tech support at Seagate, and they had absolutely no clue.
-
- Thanks in advance
